Parties wary of fielding women candidates

Even as the women’s reservation bill is pending in the parliament, political parties are wary of fielding women candidates in Maharashtra for the forthcoming elections. In terms of percentage, MNS leads the pack by fielding 3 women amongst its 12 candidates… that’s if you do not consider Vinay Kore’s Jan Surajya Party whose lone candidate in Nanded , Preeti Shinde, is a woman. NCP is a close second with a 3/22 tally… while BJP, Congress and Shiv Sena have decided field 1 woman candidate each!

3M has learnt that Preeti Shinde is conversant in Italian… probably she is in the wrong party!
